31 Days of Pink: October 5

For the fifth day of our pink nail art Odyssey with essie cosmetics, we give you a simple manicure inspired by this rimmed look from the Chanel Haute Couture Collection. This pink-on-green look reminds us of a refreshing summertime watermelon.  But it's also a perfect way to amp up your existing manicure for the weekend.

Start off with your favorite color as a base, we used one of our favorite shades, essie polish in Mint Candy Apple. Then, we used essie polish in I am Strong from the new BCA collection to paint over the base. Make sure you leave an even amount of space around the rim of the nail, which will create a U-shape with the base shade. Top it off with a high-shine top coat.
