New Collab Alert: Jonathan Cohen for Shu Uemura Art of Hair
There has never been a time when we weren’t excited for beauty brand and fashion designer collaborations. One of the best things about beauty is that it costs a lot less than a pair of designer shoes (most of the time), no matter whose name is on the package. Jason Wu for Lancôme? Yes! Proenza Schouler for MAC? Sign us up! We can’t get enough. That’s why Shu Uemura Art of Hair made our week when they announced their new collaboration with fashion designer Jonathan Cohen for a set of two chic beauty bags for women on the go.
“I have been working with Shu Uemura Art of Hair on shoots for the past four years and it quickly became our go-to,” says Cohen. “I love the brand’s unique and artistic approach to beauty, and appreciate that it is known for sourcing the purest and most precious ingredients for their products, which is the same approach I have when finding fabric and materials to use in my own collection.”
The limited-edition beauty bags feature one of Cohen’s original prints from his fall 2014 collection, the “Dripping Dots.” So if you can’t shell out hundreds of dollars for a frock covered in the quirky print, you’ll be able to keep all your necessities in either the dual-compartment Beauty Bag ($98) or smaller, clutch-friendly Cosmetic Case ($48). Plus, if you choose the larger Beauty Bag, you’ll find a Shu Uemura treat inside: travel-sized versions of the brand’s Full Shimmer Shampoo and Conditioner, and Essence Absolue. Packing for that end of summer getaway just got a lot easier, right?
Both bags hit Shu Uemura Art of Hair salons, Jonathan Cohen retailers and online on August 1st. Score them before they sell out!
