Haute Couture Beauty: Gold Lamé Lips
By Beauty Blitz / July 12, 2012
Quick word association.
What comes to mind immediately when you hear "gold lamé?"
Our minds instantly go the Bill Travilla gown (see above) that Marilyn Monroe wore in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. How about you?
We've associated textiles with lip looks before, using descriptors like "velvet" or "satin," but never lamé.
That all changed when we feasted our eyes on this twinkle-lipped model (see above) at On Aura Tout Vu's Haute Couture collection in Paris. With a brand name that means "You think you've seen it all," it kinda makes sense that designers Livia Stoianova and Yassen Samouilov paired their theatrical golden headgear with lamé lips to match.
Note of caution: We don't recommend wearing this look while eating, unless you have an appetite for glitter.
