Neutral Smoky Eyes at Cynthia Rowley - NYFW Fall 2011
The neutral smoky eye we saw at Cynthia Rowley is a great makeup look to go with any of your favorite fall looks. The deep browns and gold give you a bold smoky look, but keep it warm and neutral.
Makeup: Charlotte Willer for Maybelline
"Cynthia told me she wanted to have a cool looking girl that's sexy," Charlotte said. "She wanted a statement that looks like fall." To create the exaggerated smoky eye, Charlotte used Line Express Eyeliner in Brownish Black and lined the entire eye and the inner rims. She used the brown shades of Expert Wear Eyeshadow Quad in Chai Latte and the gold and white shades from the EyeStudio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Give Me Gold to highlight under the eyes and in the inner corner.
Hair: Rita Marmor for Redken
"The clothes have some graphic elements and it's a pretty strong look," Rita said. "So the hair had to be done up, but undone in away. It's all about the delicate texture, done but sort of undone shape in the back. It's for a kind of sophisticated woman but not uptight."
