RGB x Need Supply’s Dark Denim Polish
The NYC subway is my nail trend scouting zone. For the past few summers, neon tips were everywhere; this season it’s all about blue. Turquoise, periwinkle and robin’s egg are poking out of peeptoes and adding pop to fingertips on every line from the A/C/E to the J/Z.
That’s why I’m so excited about RGB’s new collaboration with Need Supply Co., the Virginia-based retailer whose online storefront has become a favorite among fashion bloggers. The inky shade, called “1996” in homage to Need Supply’s 15th anniversary, is a a gorgeous, dark navy creme - a rarer breed of blue than the hues I’m seeing on the train. The 5-free polish (sans formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP and camphor) is meant to evoke indigo denim, a reference to the store’s beginnings as source for vintage Levi’s. And like a good pair of jeans, it’ll go just as well with sandals as it does with sweaters come fall.
RGB 1996 is available for $16 at needsupply.com.
