What’s In My Bag: The Model Turned Philanthropist

By Beauty Blitz / December 22, 2014

Twelve tubes of lipstick? Poetry scribbled on Sephora receipts? Keys to a Harley? You can tell a lot about a person by the contents of her bag. In our What’s in My Bag series, we ask style insiders to spill the contents of their purses in hopes of finding a few gems.

The Subject

Petra Nemcova is a Czech model turned philanthropist who founded the Happy Hearts Fund, an organization that works to spread awareness and raise money to build safe-resilient schools in areas affected by natural disasters. She is also a survivor of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.

The Bag

"My nude Prada tote [1]. It’s pretty and practical. It’s big enough to carry everything I need – and I need a lot – and the nude color is so chic and season-less that it goes with many different outfits. I use it every day."

What’s Inside

[2]Clinique Happy Hearts Chubby Stick in Plumped Up Pink. It gives me a sheer wash of color in this lovely fuchsia tint, and it's moisturizing and nourishing, which I really need in the winter months. It also supports my Happy Hearts Fund – an added bonus!”

[3]MAC Studio Finish Concealer because I really need it when I don’t have time to get a full 8 hour sleep.”

[4]Clinique Happy Heart Fragrance – It’s truly a 'happy' scent. When I put it on, I feel happier instantly.”

[5]Mason Pearson brush — my hair gets knotted all the time.”

[6] “I always need my dark chocolate (at least 85% cocoa).”

[7]Trident bubble gum. It’s made with Xylitol, which is good for your gums.”

[8] “Power Bank external charger. I can’t live without it. It’s a must, especially on long days.”

The Quirky and Unexpected

“I always have green tea bags [9] in case of emergency. And exercise bands [10], just in case I have time to get a quick workout in.”
