First Look: Hair Knots Klaudia Tirico
Pulling off unwashed hair with a bob is difficult because you can’t just throw it in a top knot or pony and go. This cool, knotted trick will keep hair off your face (and even tame unruly second-day bangs) before your next shampoo.
-
Step 1: Dry Shampoo Klaudia Tirico
Since you’re working with second-day (or longer) hair, start by spritzing some dry shampoo to get rid of excess oil before you touch up waves or curls with an iron.
-
Step 2: Separate Hair Klaudia Tirico
Use a pomade like CHI Twisted Fabric Finishing Paste for better grip, keeping a dollop on the back of your hand. Put some product on your fingers, and then, with your hair parted to the side, take two fairly thin pieces of hair from the hairline near the ear.
-
Step 3: Tie a Knot Klaudia Tirico
Tie a knot with the two strands and pin the uppermost piece up with a bobby pin.
-
Step 4: Tie a Second Knot Klaudia Tirico
Take two more pieces right behind the first knot and make a second knot. Apply more pomade as needed to make the hair easier to work with.
-
Step 5: Tie a Third Knot Klaudia Tirico
This part can get a bit tricky. Unpin the first strand and bring it down under the second knot’s uppermost piece. Pin the second piece up like you did the first. Grab two more pieces right behind the first and second knot. Add them to the the existing pieces and make a third knot.
-
Step 6: Double Knot & Secure Klaudia Tirico
Double the last knot and secure it by criss crossing two bobby pins. -

Second Look: Twisted Chignon Klaudia Tirico
Whether you’ve got a big presentation at work or need a quick hairstyle for a wedding you’re attending, this easy chignon will have you out the door in minutes. Simply skip shampoo and work with the waves from your last blowout – no one will ever know.
-
Step 1: Make a Ponytail Klaudia Tirico
Separate hair into two sections at the crown of your head (basically where you’d place a headband). Spray some dry shampoo for lift.
-
Step 2: Hairspray Your Bobby Pins Klaudia Tirico
Add grip to your bobby pins by spraying them with hairspray. This will make securing your chignon a lot easier.
-
Step 3: Wrap and Pin Klaudia Tirico
Split the ponytail into two sections. Take one section and wrap it around the other, securing it with a bobby pin and letting the ends hang loose.
-
Step 4: Backcomb and Secure Klaudia Tirico
Take small sections of the leftover pieces, back comb for texture and secure with a bobby pin to make a messy chignon. Repeat this step until every piece has a place. You can even leave the ends sticking out for a more undone look.
-
Step 5: Twist the Front Klaudia Tirico
Take the front section and twist it back into the chignon. Secure.

Finish it off with some hairspray and you’re good to go! So pretty, right?
