JUST IN: Burberry Prorsum Beauty Look from Today's Runway
By Polly Blitzer / September 16, 2013
Classic trench coats and signature plaids govern Burberry's heritage. But today's runway debuted what we're predicting will be a modern update on the brand's traditional. Christopher Bailey sent models down runway wearing a bouquet of dusty roses and muted lilacs. The hues seasoned a brilliant collection of raw silk, macrame lace, petal-plastered clutches and lace six limited-edition nail colors inspired by weathered English roses. Manicurist Trish Lomax varnished models’ nails in the shades, which were released online as soon as the show ended today. "We took inspiration from the English rose and made her cooler and more modern. It's an English rose gone a little bit wrong," said the show's hairstylist Neil Moodie, who used Moroccanoil to give models sleek, straight hair.
“English rose gone a little bit wrong,” said Neil Moodie.
