Chanel's Silvery New Shades
Chanel's makeup Creative Director Peter Phillips has this uncanny knack for making colors covetable. When Peter sends a new shadow or nail polish shade down the runway, it catches on - and often sells out. How absurd it is to put yourself on a waiting list for nail polish? If it's Chanel, though, it somehow makes sense.
So here's the news you can use for the upcoming months: silvery gunmetal is going to be big. Whether you plan to jump on the July release of Chanel's Graphite polish - the glittery silver-and-gold iridescent shade seen on the runway - or start scouring the drugstore now for a match, the shade is a must-try.
And the matching metallic shadow? So flattering, and though you may not choose to apply it up to the brow for real-world wear, the color along the lower lashline is key to the look:

On the runway, Peter used Illusion d'Ombre in Epatant, a new shade of cream shadow also due out in July. But we bet you have something similar in your makeup bag now that's perfect to play with in the meantime. Let us know how it works out.
