Karl Lagerfeld’s Kitty, Choupette, is Getting Her Own Makeup Line
Choupette, the three-year-old Siamese cat belonging to Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld, is no ordinary kitty. Not only does she have two maids to tend to her every whim, she eats at the table, knows how to use an iPad, and has appeared in major photo shoots (including a 10-page spread with Laetitia Casta in V magazine). She even has her own book, Choupette: The Private Life of a High-Flying Fashion Cat, in the works.
Now the fashionable feline is dipping a toe into the beauty business with a holiday makeup collection for Shu Uemura, according to WWD.
The line, called Shupette by Karl Lagerfeld for Shu Uemura, will include furry false eyelashes — all the better to channel the cat’s famous blue eyes. Choupette herself, naturally, will star in the campaign that Lagerfeld has already photographed.
The collection includes white furry eyelashes.
This is the second collaboration with the brand for Lagerfeld, who created a holiday collection featuring a cartoon named Mon Shu in 2012. But according to Shu Uemura, it’s the first beauty collection ever based on a house pet. Your move, Grumpy Cat.
