Now There’s a Polish That Will Make Your Nails Look Like Coke
By Wendy Rodewald-Sulz / May 13, 2014
When nail polish brand OPI announced a few weeks ago that they were collaborating on a color collection with Coca-Cola, we weren’t sure what to expect. Frankly, the partnership seemed like a bit of a stretch.
But today the brand unveiled the limited-edition Coca-Cola by OPI colors, and we get it now. Actually, we’re pretty impressed. The company has somehow managed to create a nail polish color that looks exactly like soda.
Inspired by Coke Zero, the shade Today I Accomplished Zero is a black with “effervescent” red sparkle — a dead ringer for the bubbly, caramel colored soft drink. It’s kind of genius.
Rounding out the collection are eight more shades, including (naturally) classic Coca-Cola Red, Diet Coke silver (My Signature is “DC”), Sprite can green (Green on the Runway) and a couple of Fanta-inspired brights (A Grape Affair and Orange You Fantastic). The colors debut next month, giving you plenty of time to get used to the idea of a soft drink-inspired manicure. Your move, Pepsi.
