If the holidays have exhausted your appetite for classic red lipstick, it’s time for a change. Allow us to point you in the direction of the orange-tinged shade that Felicity Jones wore for a recent appearance at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. “I chose a beautiful statement lip in an orangey-red to keep it more fun and modern, using the classic Diorific lipstick in the Dolce Vita shade,” says makeup artist Sabrina Bedrani, who prepped the actress for the red carpet.

The color has all the impact of traditional red, but won’t make you feel like a leftover Christmas decoration in January. And as Jones’ look proves, it adds instant pop to an all-black-everything winter ensemble. Bonus points: men really like this shade, too.
