It’s no secret that we’re huge fans of Asian beauty imports here at Beauty Blitz. We’re fascinated by the trends and love the results of the products. Although K-beauty is not as easily accessible as our favorite department or drugstore products, new e-commerce platforms have been steadily popping up, allowing us to score Korean beauty trends at the click of a mouse. Glowrecipe.com is one of those great platforms, but with a unique twist. What makes this site so special is that they concentrate on selling only natural and harsh-free products.
Co-founders Christine Chang and Sarah Lee started Glowrecipe.com to make natural K-Beauty easily accessible. And with 20 years of experience working in the global beauty industry all over the world, and testing tons of products as self-proclaimed beauty junkies, we trust that they know what they’re doing. “The perfect DIY facial, which leaves skin glowing and dewy — created with nutrient dense sea kelp and drenched in fermented sea kelp & bamboo extract.”
Why they love it: “It's like getting a lovely, ocean-side facial. Whamisa created this mask when they realized that Jeju deep sea divers were using sea kelp to protect and soothe their faces after diving. Each sheet is 100% real sea kelp. We love this video of how Whamisa's Organic Sea Kelp Masks ($14/ sheet) are hand-crafted at Whamisa's own production facility — each sheet is carefully sorted by hand to make sure that it's intact, as sea kelp is very delicate.”
“A 95% organic, water-free face cream with fermented soy (natto), rice & aloe vera extract for hydration and nourishment. Fermentation helps to break down ingredients for better penetration and it also allows for less preservatives to be used in the formula.”
