With each new morsel of information that trickles out about Gucci’s new cosmetics line, we’ve been getting more and more excited for the September launch. We’ve already learned that Italian beauty Charlotte Casiraghi will be the face of the line, and that superstar makeup artist Pat McGrath had a hand in creating it. Today WWD has the first look at the luxury house’s makeup offerings, and the products — all emblazoned with the signature double G’s — look as good as we hoped they would.
In the article, Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini reveals that the cosmetics collection has been four years in the making, and that the line’s color palette is based on moodboards from the Gucci archives along with photos of iconic beauties including Lauren Hutton, Jerry Hall, Jane Birkin and Veruschka.
Of course, beauty this luxe doesn’t come cheap. Prices will run from $29 for nail polish to $65 for an eyeshadow quad, WWD reports. Start saving those pennies now.
