Here’s a Whole New Way to Wear Eye Makeup
By Wendy Rodewald-Sulz / September 10, 2014
Here’s a striking new way to play up your eyes, courtesy of the Spring 2015 runways. Everywhere we look, makeup artists are focusing on the inner corner. At Peter Som, Maybelline Global Makeup Artist Yadim accessorized models’ tear ducts with an “acid orange brushstroke” that played off colors in the ready-to-wear collection (try it at home with a bright lipstick). Chromat had us seeing spots with graphic white accents on the inside edge of models’ eyes. And at Marissa Webb, a platinum highlight provided a counterpoint to inky shadow. One thing’s for sure: spring’s biggest makeup statement is shaping up to be an inside job.
