The Best Beauty Look of the Weekend Wasn’t at the VMAs

 

Sorry VMAs attendees, but Kaley Cuoco had cooler hair and makeup than you this weekend. The star showed off her edgy side with a wet slick back and color blocked eyeliner at the Entertainment Weekly pre-Emmy party on Saturday. We hate to say it, but the look was a million times more memorable than anything we saw on last night’s red carpet. 

 

Cuoco’s hair stylist, Christine Symonds (who is also responsible for chopping off the actress' hair in the beginning of the summer) took to her Instagram to show off the star’s look, which features one of our favorite new hair trends: bobby pin art. Symonds created a row of X shapes along the nape of Cuoco’s neck, similar to Kate Mara’s take on the trend, using white bobby pins. She also wrote that since she didn’t have white bobby pins in her kit, she painted blonde ones with white nail polish. #Genius. 

 

As for that insane cat eye, makeup artist Jamie Greenberg used Avon mark. products to create a color-blocked look. The upper lash line got a swipe of blue, while the lower lash line was green. She finished it off with glowing skin and a nude lip. The look instantly jumped to number one on our "must recreate ASAP" list. 

 

Here’s hoping the hair and makeup at tonight’s Emmy Awards are just as awesome as this.
