Get Kate Bosworth's Pretty Red-Orange Lip

 

Is there a lipstick that doesn’t look bomb on Kate Bosworth? She’s got a plush pout that gives Kylie Jenner a run for her money. Over the weekend, Bosworth attended the Dior Mid-Winter Gala dressed to the nines in a printed Dior dress and flawless makeup courtesy of makeup artist Andre Sarmiento. 

 

"For Kate's look at the Gala we were inspired by the gorgeous dress and how much it felt like quintessential Dior,” said Sarmiento. “There was a vintage feeling to the dress but it was still absolutely modern. That became the feeling we tried to echo with the makeup. It was definitely inspired by the screen sirens of the 1950s but applied in the freshest way possible.” 

 

The rest of the makeup was pretty neutral, which made the bright red-orange pout so much more prominant. “We wanted to do a great lip but also didn't feel like a traditional matte red was the way to go,” said Sarmiento. He ended up layering two Dior lip colors to match the color of the print on Bosworth’s dress perfectly. 

 

“We ended up going with a warm, sheeny, vibrant concoction that ended up feeling just perfect for the dress,” he said. “To prep the lips I worked Dior Addict Lip Glow ($33) all over. I layered on Rouge Dior Lipstick in Trafalgar ($35) for a rich base. To top it all off, I finished with Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Artifice ($35) to really amp up the brightness and shine."
