Out Of Sight Polly Blitzer
I remember the moment like it was yesterday. I was in fourth grade, and I couldn't read what my homeroom teacher wrote on the blackboard. I had to squint to read it. My friend in the row behind me could read it without a problem. I started tugging at the outer corners of my eyes whenever I wanted to see something far away. (So that's where my crow's feet came from.) It turns out I'm nearsighted. And so began my vision-correction journey.

Two Eyes Are Better Than Four Polly Blitzer
First, there were the black-rimmed glasses. Then the tortoise-shell pair. I tried contact lenses from various brands, but they felt like rocks in my eyes. Or they got so dry, they'd fall out when I blinked. I tried different types and brands until (in Goldilocks and the Three Bears style) I found something juuuust riiiight. ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses.

Comfort Zone Polly Blitzer
My eyes felt comfortable and the lenses were easy to put in. I'm a klutz, so putting something in my eyes before my morning coffee is dangerous. But you know what? They adhere easily and feel comfortable all day - even while flying. My eyes never feel tired or heavy, and they never look bloodshot.

Easy Does It Polly Blitzer
Studies have shown that daily replacement is one of the healthiest ways to wear contact lenses. By putting in a clean, fresh lens every day, daily disposable contact lenses can help minimize the potential for buildup of allergens and irritants (take that, allergy season!). Plus, daily disposable contact lenses are convenient - you don't need to clean lenses at the end of the day or store the lenses in those little cases and squirt them off in your palm in the morning.

On The Bright Side Polly Blitzer
If you're a sun worshipper like me, you'll get an even bigger benefit. 1-DAY ACUVUE® TruEye® Brand offers patients the highest level of UV protection in a contact lens, blocking approximately 96 percent of UVA rays and more than 99 percent of UVB rays that reach the lens†** But remember: even though UV-blocking contact lenses provide important added protection, they should always be worn along with high-quality UV-blocking sunglasses and your favorite wide-brimmed hat for best UV protection..

Facing the Facts Polly Blitzer
I'm not one to throw around the word "breakthrough," because a small fraction of the products that claim to be breakthroughs actually are. But this contact lens technology was designed, developed, and clinically researched versus the ultimate benchmark: the natural eye. Clinical data suggests that 1-DAY ACUVUE® TruEye® can help maintain eye health with the near “no lens” experience and keep the lens-wearing eye looking white and bright, while also offering exceptional comfort throughout the day.

Seeing Is Believing! Polly Blitzer
I got a chance to try out the lenses myself. I'm one of the very first members of the media to get my hands (and corneas) on them. I always thought my contacts were comfortable, but these are imperceptible. Like you don't even realize they're there. And after six hours of staring at a screen at the office, I still don't feel like there's anything in my eyes. I had no dryness, excessive blinking, glare or sensation whatsoever. To see the magic firsthand, get a certificate for a free trial pair of ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses now! (Professional exam and fitting fees not included).

Important information for contact lens wearers: ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses are available by prescription only for vision correction. An eye care professional will determine whether contact lenses are right for you. Although rare, serious eye problems can develop while wearing contact lenses. To help avoid these problems, follow the wear and replacement schedule and the lens care instructions provided by your eye doctor. Do not wear contact lenses if you have an eye infection, or experience eye discomfort, excessive tearing, vision changes, redness or other eye problems. If one of these conditions occurs, contact your eye doctor immediately. For more information on proper wear, care and safety, talk to your eye care professional and ask for a Patient Instruction Guide, call 1-800-843-2020 or visit Acuvue.com.
† Helps protect against transmission of harmful UV radiation to the cornea and into the eye.**WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-Blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-Blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders.
