Model Talk: Kendall Jenner & Joan Smalls Chat About Makeup & Selfies

 

As you probably know by now, Kendall Jenner is the new face of Estée Lauder. She joins fellow spokesmodel Joan Smalls in the brand's roster of beauties, and the two recently sat down for some good, old fashioned girl talk as part of a Q&A on the Estée Edit blog. In just three minutes, we learn a lot about the young Kardashian-Jenner spawn, like whether she prefers flats or heels (flats) and her favorite movie of all time (Moulin Rouge). Naturally, she also shared her favorite Estée Lauder product, too.

 

“I’ve always been a huge fan of their concealer,” Jenner tells Smalls. “I’ve grown up with Estée, that was all my mom would use. I remember the old lipstick cases that were gold and mirrored. It’s such a family brand for me because it’s been there my whole life so it is crazy to actually be doing this today.” 

 

Jenner also spilled her secrets on taking the perfect selfie. Take notes, guys! 

 

“Lighting is a big thing. If you’re not in the right light it just won't work. I’m not into using too many filters, either. I like to keep it pretty natural—or black and white is always cool. But above all, you have to know your face: everybody has their good side. And practice! Practice makes perfect.”
