Korres Brings the Modern Greek Apothecary To NYC

By Klaudia Tirico / March 30, 2015

What many people don’t know about Greek skincare brand Korres is that its founder, George Korres, was an in-house pharmacist at Greece’s first homeopathic pharmacy, the Tzivanides Pharmacy, 30 years after it first opened. There, he was able to blend his knowledge of pharmaceutical training with traditional herbal and natural Greek remedies, which later became Korres the brand.
Korres has been available in the States for some time now, but while we were able to get our hands on the brand’s all-natural skincare, we’ve never gotten the complete Korres experience as it exists in the company's motherland – until now. This month, Korres is bringing the complete European pharmacy experience to four Sephora locations in NYC (and online!), featuring brand new, never-before-seen skin, hair, body and fragrance products.

Everything in the new Apothecary Essentials Collection is inspired by age-old recipes and proven natural ingredients. The collection is split into four categories. The first, Herbal Pharmacy, features products made and perfected by Korres from traditional recipes. This category falls more under wellness than beauty as the products include Korres’ legendary Honey Base Syrup (yes, cough medicine!) and a Precious Oils Collection to be mixed and matched based on your needs. The other categories include Pure Daily Essentials, featuring everyday necessities like deodorant, hand cream, bar soap and lip butters; Fragrance & Ancillaries, two unique, natural fragrances made with premium extracts, and haircare for both normal and dry/damaged hair types.
The Apothecary Essentials Collection is now available online and in the following four New York City Sephora locations: Union Square, Time Square, SoHo, Meatpacking.
