Buy Now: A New Way to Wear Givenchy Couture

Unless you happen to be BFFs with Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, à la Kim and Kanye, your opportunities for wearing the house’s couture collections are probably nonexistent — until now. This spring, the luxury brand launched its L’Atelier de Givenchy fragrance collection, seven scents each inspired by a couture runway design. Now for the first time, the fragrances are available in the U.S. at an exclusive new counter on the Manhattan Saks Fifth Avenue flagship’s fragrance floor.
Each scent in the collection uses a couture sketch as its starting point, from Néroli Originel, based on an iconic gown worn by Hubert de Givenchy’s muse Audrey Hepburn, to Cuir Blanc, a white pepper/white leather/white musk ode to lace up thigh high boots. Androgynous Bois Martial, with its pineapple sage, cedar and coconut wood notes, evokes the structure of a suit, while Chypre Caresse, with its blend of lemon pulp, angelica and patchouli, is as feminine as an ethereal gown. Exotic Ylang Austral features Mandarin leaf, ylang ylang, and sandalwood, while Oud Flamboyant uses oud wood to capture the mysterious grandeur of rich embroideries and bronze studs. And with amber and vanilla at its heart, fiery, animalistic Ambre Tigré smells the way wearing head to toe animal print feels: hot.
L’Atelier de Givenchy eaux de parfum (100 ml, $220 each) are available at Saks Fifth Avenue, NYC.
