It Takes MAC’s Artists 9,260 Products to Get Through Fashion Month

The twice-a-year spectacle that we call Fashion Week — really, Fashion Month — is nothing short of epic, with hundreds of shows and thousands of participants all coming together to make it happen. And the show couldn't go on without MAC, which sponsors more designers' shows each season than any other beauty brand. The cosmetics company just released their annual "by the numbers" stats for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2014 season (which kicks off Thursday in New York), and the sheer volume of hours and makeup that go into the whole production is staggering. Ready for it? Here's a quick peek:
Number of shows in major Fashion Week cities that M·A·C will support backstage: 200+
Combined backstage experience of all M•A•C Artists (in years): 250+
Number of new Eye Liners ordered for Artists’ kits: 2,000
Number of Permanent Lipsticks, Lipglasses, Lipmixes, Lip Erase and Conditioners ordered for Artists’ kits: 1,400
Number of Eye Pencils ordered for Artists’ kits: 1,250
Number of Mascara Wands and Tubes ordered: 3,810
Number of Lashes ordered for Artists’ kits: 800
Average time spent preparing for a single fashion show: 3-4 Hours
