A Coral Lipstick Launches Straight from the Runway

One of the best things about beauty is its accessibility. While your typical four- or five-figure runway ensemble may be realistic for few who aren't celebrities or It girls, makeup is another story. This May, Clinique is making it even easier for the masses to rock a runway look by releasing the lip shade models wore at Karen Walker's Spring 2012 collection.

Backstage at the show, Clinique Global Colour Artist Jenna Menard opted for a fresh, seasonal look to complement the designer's collection of flirty yet masculine pieces and quirky prints. "Karen wanted the models to look youthful and feminine with a sophisticated twist," said Jenna. "So I kept the eye very simple, the cheeks healthy and then went for a strong, vibrant lip. I chose bright coral because it's less expected than red." Jenna and Clinique worked together to create that same coral in the brand's long lasting lipstick formula. 

To get the look, Jenna recommends putting the focus on the lip and pairing the shade with a neutral shadow, peachy blush and a touch of mascara. We’ve got more tips on how to wear this juicy shade here.
