The Morning After Beauty at Rebecca Minkoff - NYFW Fall 2011
When you think of Rebecca Minkoff, you instantly think of her many coveted bags. The hair look was actually inspired by one of her iconic bags, and the makeup look was a simple, wearable look that's a blend of boho and urban.
Hair: Ouidad
"The theme is the morning after," Ouidad said. "How perfect for the curl expert to come in and bring out the morning after." Since most of the models have straight hair, Ouidad is using volumizing products from her PlayCurl line and a 1-inch curling iron to get the waves and texture. "After we put the bend into the hair we're going to run our fingers through the hair and then do a little bit of back combing with the fingers," she explained. "Everything is by hand." For girls with natural curls, she's blowing drying the hair straight and going back with the curling iron to get the look.
Makeup: Sarah Lucero for Stila
Sarah is keeping the makeup look fresh with a dewy feel, which she achieved by using the Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer with Convertible Color in Gerbera on the cheeks. To define the eyes, Sarah used a the Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stingray and Kajal Eye Liner in Topaz along the waterline to keep it fresh and awake. "You can use 8 hour cream mixed with your Kitten eyeshadow and create your own eye gloss," Sarah mentioned. "And it's just in the center so it makes her eyelid look a little bit bigger. It's OK that it ruins the liner because it's still tight but hazy."
