This Scary Sheet Mask is My Halloween Costume

By Wendy Rodewald-Sulz / October 30, 2014

Beauty standards differ depending on where you are in the world, and so do the products that promise to make you prettier. In our Globetrotter series, we highlight our weirdest and most worthwhile finds from overseas.

I still don’t have a Halloween costume, and at this point, every Ricky’s popup in the city is picked clean of all but the most heinous and unfortunate getups. I think I may just stay in and watch horror movies while wearing the best sheet mask ever invented.

I came across this genius find in Japan, which is basically the world capital of sheet masks. The Skeleton Face Pack is infused with a moisturizing serum that contains hyaluronic acid, collagen and vitamin C, plus rosemary extract “that has been used as a talisman against evil.”

Oh hi, just doing my skincare.

When I tried out the skull-printed mask, not only did it terrify my husband even more than my typical SK-II mask, it left my skin feeling plump, moisturized and pleasantly rose scented. The masks also come in werewolf, vampire and Frankenstein monster varieties to suit all your spooky personalities. This may just be the most fun you can have in your pajamas on All Hallows’ Eve. Pass the fun-sized Kit Kats, please.
