It has only been a few days since Caitlyn Jenner’s big Vanity Fair reveal and the world is still buzzing about her gorgeous transformation. Naturally, we were dying to find out more about the beauty aspect of it all, and Vanity Fair has now revealed the all-star glam squad of the shoot. Of course it was the best of the best in the beauty industry: makeup artist Mark Carrasquillo, hair maestro Oribe and celebrity manicurist Deborah Lippmann.
In the article, Jenner’s glam squad gave the world the 411 on the whole process. Carrasquillo said, “I didn’t want her to look like a man in a dress. I wanted her to look like a beautiful 65-year-old woman.” He prepped Jenner’s skin with products like Bioderma Sensible H2O (a backstage favorite), SK-II Facial Treatment Mask and Clarins Lotus face Treatment Oil. For makeup, he turned to luxurious products like Tom Ford Traceless Foundation S.P.F. 15, Estée Lauder More Than Mascara and NARS Jungle Red lipstick

Over in hair, Oribe said he turned to photos of Cindy Crawford’s coif for inspiration. “Bruce was one of the sexiest men alive, and I thought it was equally as important for Caitlyn to be a sexy woman,” he told the magazine. He relied on products like his Dry Texturizing Spray and Signature Royal Blowout Heat Styling Spray to create her voluminous blowout.
Like the rest of the glam squad, Deborah Lippmann felt “blessed” to be a part of the shoot. She was actually the first professional to work on Jenner’s nails! But there were no nail extensions involved here; the tips were Jenner’s own. Lippmann gave her an almond shape and painted them with a statement red, Lady Is A Tramp
Jenner definitely deserved the all-star treatment for her big reveal and we couldn’t be more impressed with the results. Check out the full article on VanityFair.com (it’s a great read!).
