Which Member of The Brady Bunch Inspired the Hair Look at Band of Outsiders?

Brady Bunch fans, this one's for you. While Marcia Brady was always the most popular sister of the famous TV family (remember Jan always complaining about "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!?), her younger sister was the star of the inspiration behind the hair look at Band of Outsiders. Hairstylist Didier Malige for Rene Furterer created an easy, "updated Jan Brady" 'do for a 70s California vibe.

The look was a deep side part with a faux bang laying flat across the forehead and tucked behind the ear, very much like Jan Brady's signature style. Instead of using heat-styling tools, Didier used his hands to get a natural wave for the rest of the hair. The star products were Rene Furterer 's Volumea Volumizing Conditioning Spray to prep and Fioravanti No Rinse Detangling Spray to help create the waves sans an iron. Didier then finished the look off by pinning the bangs with two bobby pins placed right behind the ear. (The pins were actually sanded down so they wouldn't look shiny!)

As for makeup, Shiseido Artistic Director Dick Page created a "reverse racoon" eye by applying Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Yuba (a very light hue with sheen - out spring 2014) all around the eye. Just like James Boehmer did at Creatures of the Wind, he chose to skip eyeliner and mascara. Dick was inspired by the "dispersed elements" of the collection, simply because "the makeup doesn't exist without the clothes."

To complement the beautiful look, butter LONDON Global Colour Ambassador Katie Hughes chose to do an "easy bohemian" manicure using Cotton Buds, a crisp white hue. She, then, topped off the color with Matte Finish Top Coat for "an edgy texture."
